Sometimes it's hard getting your words to flow

That's why I use my somatic practices to help you physically move through writer's block and procrastination patterns.

And I also used my skills as an embodiment coach to help you move through any limiting beliefs, fear and shame holding you back - so that when your words are ready, so are you.

As an Embodied Writing Coach (who’s struggled with stepping into my calling myself), I know what it’s like to get stuck in freeze mode just when you’re stepping into your most meaningful life’s work.

I believe you’re too damn visionary not to write the story that's crying out to be told. And I believe with all my heart that the world needs your medicine as a creative.

My Embodied Writing Retreat is will help you find your voice and those words that have been eluding you. And we’ll get in touch with your inner body wisdom so you’re ready to step into the spotlight too.

1. Write from the truest part of you with Embodied Movement

Mindset approaches to overcoming writer's block often only serve in making us feel more stuck.

That's because things like procrastination, limiting beliefs and creative blocks are signs of something deeper going on.

That's why I use Embodied Movement - a free-form, intuitive, non-linear somatic practice - to bring you back into your body so you can bring stuck energy back into flow for your most visionary, relatable and creative writing yet.

My Embodied Movement Group Sessions and Audio Resources will:

Liberate your writing voice

When we focus too much on rigid writing advice, we lose our most important asset: Our own voice. Embodied Movement will help you get up close and personal with your truest words.

Help you go deeper with your writing

When we go up, into the brain, to look for our words, we're often met with old voices telling us how we SHOULD be writing, that can lead to formulaic and 'safe' stories.  Our heads can also tell us lies about how we were never good at writing anyway. Embodied Writing I allow you to go down, into the body, where your wild creativity lives.

Teach you how to summon your own muse, again and again

When we wait for inspiration to strike, it can take forever to complete a writing project. Embodied Movement teaches you how to find the muse that's always available inside of you.

The two branches of my
Embodied Writing Approach

2. Connect with your own inner authority as coach through Embodiment Coaching

I don’t just want you to have the perfect words I want you to share that message with ease and a deeply-felt sense of inner authority.

Because I’ve learned from personal experience that once we (sensitive) writers have the audacity to step out with our message, our nervous systems tend to go a bit haywire.

That’s why I work directly with the wisdom of your nervous system and body to help you gain clarity and confidence - so once your story is ready, you're ready to tell it!

My clients often use Embodiment Coaching sessions to explore:

Fear around sharing your story, your message and how it will be perceived

Struggling with imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs or stepping into your authority as a writer

Concern around evolving your writing, being experimental or going in an entirely new direction

Procrastinating on finishing your writing project, or starting it in the first place

Uncertainty about what you should be writing about

Feeling stuck in jobs, roles or greige cubicles that no longer  serve you, when really you feel called to be a writer, coach, entrepreneur or healer

Finding it hard making time for your writing, saying no or asking for what you need

A desire for more joy, ease and sustainability in your writing practice

… And anything else that’s going on for you, even if it’s not strictly writing related. Because as a human who juggles many roles, chances are if it affects your life, it's also affecting your writing.

Embodiment Coaching is a body-focused, somatic form of coaching.

During a session, you may have your eyes closed for the most of the time, while you explore what’s going on for you, in terms of how it feels in your body.

We welcome all feelings and sensations - ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ to be present in the body, and tap into our innate body wisdom for direction and practical next steps that feel right in your body and backbone.

What to expect from Embodiment Coaching
with me

This is a spacious retreat for your most expansive writing

I know that you have a busy life. And I know that your nervous system needs time to integrate your new experience and knowledge.

That's why I've spaced this life-expanding writing journey out over  12  weeks, so you have plenty of time to get stuck into your writing, really make the movement practices your own - and allow your new, intuitive writing practice to become an organic part of your everyday life.

I won't tell you to Save The Cat (for the zillionth time) - I'll invite you to be wildly creative instead

My clients, like me, tend to be the 'pantsers' among us - those of us who quietly die inside in structure-driven, 'plot out your story' 'Save the Cat'-type writing classes. We're way too intuitive, adventure-driven and creative for that. We want to feel our way into our story.

We're the perceivers of the world - the ones who don't thrive on a rigid schedule but, when given the opportunity, can focus for hours on work that's meaningful to our soul.

As creatives, we need a high level of sensitivity, which means that too often, we're the ones who doubt our own inner authority as Art Makers, getting stuck in freeze mode just when we're about to step into our most important work.

I’ve been there, and I've found  a way out of the 'oh my word, I'm putting myself out there!' freeze, by using the power of our nervous system, intuition and feelings, rather than trying to work against them, as so many approaches advocate.

Over here, feelings are signposts and your intuition is your North Star.

I like to go deep

My Embodied Writing system was born from a desire to help writers create from a deeper, true-to-you place. Because I know that's when the magic happens.

The once-over-lightly approach isn't for me.

That’s why I combine my richest resources - group movement classes, one-on-one coaching, guided movement audios and thought-provoking questionnaires - to help you get up close and personal with your deepest creativity.

Because the story you're here to tell- there's only one person who can do that. And it's about time you found the freedom to do that.

You won't have to do it alone

We romanticise the struggling writer, tucked away all alone in the attic - but let's face it, it can be bloody hard going it alone. All that time spent by yourself, dreaming about the day you'll your writing with the world, while fighting the voices that tell you that it's too long of a shot...

I hate that creative pursuits are set up like that - without people to hear you out and cheer you on.

That's why in this retreat, you'll meeting an online community of like-minded dreamers struggling with the same things as you.

There will be group sessions for moving together, time to tell what's going on for us, and a shared Facebook group for sharing your writing - if that feels good for you.  (We don't critique each other's work but we do say what we love about it, and pose any questions that came up while reading)

You'll also have my full attention during one-on-one coaching sessions, where we can really get stuck into what's going on for you - and map out your writing path ahead.

We'll end with a big celebration party where we can mingle, share and hype up all of our successes.

I may be biased, but I think our community is one of the most nurturing and supportive out there!

The power of working with Danielle is in the safety she provides. She knew exactly the right questions to ask, to peel my layers away - and I there were so many that I had a protective shell!

I found the narrative that I was initially afraid to own - even thought that was exactly the story that wanted to come out - and that for me was the catalyst for becoming an empowered woman, coach and leader.

Since working with Danielle, sharing my story and owning its power has been amazing. I feel like she freed me as a coach in this process of us working together.

When I first set out sharing more about myself as a coach, I went into freeze mode. It’s such a vulnerable feeling, being seen. It kicked up a lot of shame, and fear of rejection. Sometimes it's painful to go back to certain places, so when someone comes along who can take you there safely, that’s so helpful.

The way Danielle helped me craft the truth of what happened to me, and how that led to my coaching career, is so beautiful - and I love that I was able to convey my humor in my writing too.

I really liked Danielle’s process - it helped me identify the most powerful pieces that I hadn’t even thought about, to make those connections and craft a narrative that was true and could connect with my clients. What's more, it's has given me a competitive edge as a coach.

"Danielle is a skilled practitioner in the realms of embodied expression & creative copywriting. If you're seeking a Feminine Embodiment Coach to help you express your most potent self while relaxing any resistance that might (inevitably) arise along the way, I'd highly recommend working with Danielle."

Working with Danielle was just what I needed to jumpstart me into really sounding my voice more strongly and clearly.

Thank you, thank you for providing that space and helping us open our voices up! A juicy newsletter followed immediately. Ordinarily it is sooo hard to write these but this time I took a pad and pen and hand wrote it out first and things just flowed.

Being in a space with others who are feeling similarly was deeply nourishing to my soul. There is magic in the chemistry of everyone coming together, bringing their unique selves into the space.
