Time management techniques like the pomodoro method. Only to find yourself staring at a blinking cursor. annoyed by the ticking sound of that angry tomato. 

Popular mindset strategies for 'beating'  or ‘destroying' writer's block. But your mind ended up beating YOU - telling you you'll never finish a manuscript, or you're  not a writer anyway. 

Writing courses aimed at refining your technique or plotting out your story - save the cat, show don't tell. But it just sucked the joy and creativity out of your writing. 

Following famous writers' routines, but you fell asleep because 5 o' clock in the morning is just too damn early and besides, most of them had a Mrs Writer in the background to look after the household & kids while they wrote in bed all day.

As an embodied writing coach, I see brilliant, visionary creatives who are good at writing - freeze up all the time when it's time to sit down and write something. 

Because when we have the audacity to start expressing ourselves, our nervous systems tend to go a little haywire. That's as normal as it is really freaking annoying.

Daring to share your work for the first time, or when you've had negative experiences sharing in the past, can be daunting. That's why you're welcome (but not obligated) to send me any creative writing you're working on in the time that we're together. 

Think of me as a kind first reader who's cheering you on to succeed.

I am not an editor or a manuscript developer - I believe in-depth editing like that is best done once your manuscript or written work is completely finished (otherwise you'll be censoring yourself as you go along).

Because this 90-day programme is aimed at helping you start and make significant progress on writing that is meaningful to you, I restrict my feedback to these three areas:

- Praising what I found evocative, moving, meaningful and generally wonderful about your writing
- Pointing out any areas where I felt a bit confused, so you can clarify your meaning
- Pointing out any passages or areas that I'd like to see you expand on.
